Submission of Papers Manuscripts should be submitted via the online facility of the journal or directly to one of the editorial board members. The call for papers is open for the following categories:
Original papers: are unsolicited, peer-reviewed original papers describing the results of the declared authors, have special significance for the topics declared by the journal and must be presented in a clear and concise way. Usually these manuscripts are of 5000+ words (including references) and minimum 3-5 tables and figures. The template for the original papers can be found below but not necessary to be implemented by the authors (word file even containing the figures and tables is accepted for the reviewing process).
Review articles: represent invited works normally commissioned by the editorial board and give an overview of a particular field/topic. The length of these manuscripts should be in the range of 5000 – 10 000+ words and at least 50 – 100 references.
Short communications: are unsolicited, peer-reviewed short reports of outstanding novel findings which usually does not exceed 3000 words and 3 figures or tables.
Letters to Editors: are unsolicited, scientific or technical questions about a published article. They are typically no longer than 1000 words. These letters will be considered for publication only if these letters contribute an added value or special consideration to a specific article that has already published. Publication and/or peer review of submitted letters will occur solely at the Editors discretion. The authors of the original research article will have the opportunity to publicly respond to any Letter to Editor if the editor consider.
Regardless the type of contribution, please check the following:
One author has been designated as corresponding author and at least the email address and full postal address is provided
All the manuscripts are provided with:
- 3-5 keywords which will be published along with the manuscript
- All figures (include relevant captions) and tables (including titles, description, footnotes)
- Ensure all figure and table citations in the text match the files provided; where applicable, Graphical Abstracts, Highlights and Supplemental files are provided and properly labelled (preferable independent files).
Further technical and language considerations:
- Manuscript has been ‘spell checked’ and ‘grammar checked’;
- All references mentioned in the Reference List are cited in the text, and vice versa;
- Permission has been obtained for use of copyrighted material from other sources (including the Internet);
- Relevant declarations of interest have been made;
- Referee suggestions and contact details are provided (both preferred and non-preferred reviewers).
The ethical rules are mandatory, each corresponding authors assuming that the manuscript was delivered by respecting these rules.
Declaration of interest All authors are requested to disclose any actual or potential conflict of interest including any financial, personal or other relationships with other people or organizations and must be part of the submitted manuscript.
Submission declaration and verification. Submission of an article implies that the work described has not been published previously (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture or academic thesis), that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, that its publication is approved by all authors and that, if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere in the same form, in English or in any other language, without the written consent of SciEdTech. For this purpose, please download the following template and fill in all the fields and send it back along with the manuscript, signed. All the corresponding authors have to be care about the originality of the manuscripts. No paper will be published without being checked against plagiarism with relevant software.
Changes to authorship The authors should carefully indicate the authors of the manuscript as well as to acknowledge the peoples who contribute but their involvement do not impose to consider it as author. In justified conditions, the list of authors should be corrected.
Copyright Upon acceptance of an article, authors will be asked to complete a “Journal Publishing Agreement”. For all articles published in SciEdTech, copyright is retained by the authors. Articles are licensed under an open access Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 license; anyone can download and read the paper for free. In addition, the article may be reused by the authors if the original published version is cited. All the accepted papers are published in Free Open Access Mode (no fee is required for processing, color images, etc.) but this could be changed by the publisher, in the future. Permission is requested for all those authors which are reproducing tables, figures, schemes or larger text part which are published outside of SciEdTech. If the new work include authors of the paper published in SciEdTech, then no permission is requested if authors properly cite the initial paper.
PREPARATION LANGUAGE: All the papers will be published in English. If the paper needs extensive language editing the Publisher can assure copy-editing otherwise no Language Editing Fee will be imposed.
All the manuscript will be checked against plagiarism. If necessary, the editor will provide the originality report to the corresponding author in order to improve the manuscript. Please do not upload manuscripts which do not meet the originality requirements!!!
Title: The title must be concise and informative. It is recommended that no abbreviations and formulae to be used where possible (recommended length 20 – 50 words).
Author names and affiliations: The authors should be listed after the title section clearly indicate First Names and LAST NAMES. For all the authors, the affiliation will be marked with a number using superscript and will be described below. For the affiliation, the following data will be mentioned: institution, department and address(es). Corresponding author should be clearly indicated with an asterix along with the number corresponding to its affiliation. At least the email of the corresponding author must be provided.
Abstracts: The abstract should be representative and concise, the length should not exceed 250words. It may contain the main purposes, results and conclusions of the manuscript. If appropriate, a graphical abstract is recommended and will be published online, along with the paper.
Keywords: Up to 6 keywords are recommended to be provided along with the manuscript. The keywords can be a singular words or a sentence (describing a singular concept) and must be separated by semicolon.
Introduction: State the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background, avoiding a summary of the results. The proper citation of the sources must be provided.
Material and methods: Provide sufficient detail to allow the work to be reproduced. Methods already published should be indicated by a reference; only relevant modifications should be described concisely. Where the Material and Method section is not suitable, this section will be deleted or replaced.
Results and Discussion: This section should explore the obtained results, highlighting their significance. Extensive citations and discussion of published literature should be avoided but proper citation of the sources must be provided.
Conclusions: The main conclusions of the study may be presented in a short Conclusions section. This section can also contain information about future perspectives. Usually, this section does not contain references.
Artwork: All the figures should be provided in TIFF, JPEG or BMP format at a minimum resolution of 300dpi. The tables should be provided in editable mode, preferable as a word file.
References: The bibliography will respect the quotation within the text it will be numbered currently and the text quotations will be made in square brackets, e.g. . For multiple references please use [1-5] or [1, 3-4] format. The reference section must respect the proper Endnote Style of the journal and can be downloaded following this link. Some examples are listed below for papers and books. The other categories of works should include as much information as considered representative but avoiding unnecessary data.

Ethics topics to consider when publishing:
- Authorship of the paper: Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study.
- Originality and plagiarism: The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others, that this has been appropriately cited or quoted.
- Data access and retention: Authors may be asked to provide the raw data in connection with a paper for editorial review, and should be prepared to provide public access to such data.
- Multiple, redundant or concurrent publication: An author should not in general publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Usually, the publication in the form of abstract; publication as an academic thesis or publication as an electronic preprint is allowed before publishing in full length.
- Acknowledgement of sources: Proper acknowledgement of the funding sources and source of information is mandatory.
- Disclosure and conflicts of interest: All submissions must include disclosure of all relationships that could be viewed as presenting a potential conflict of interest.
- Fundamental errors in published works: When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.
- Reporting standards: Authors of reports of original research should present an accurate account of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance.
- Hazards and human or animal subjects: Statements of compliance are required if the work involves chemicals, procedures or equipment that have any unusual hazards inherent in their use, or if it involves the use of animal or human subjects.
- Use of patient images or case details: Studies on patients or volunteers require ethics committee approval and informed consent, which should be documented in the paper.
